If you haven't received a confirmation email after making a booking, please check your spam or junk folder. If you still can't find it, please call us on 020 7734 7276 or e-mail us at info@opiumchinatown.com and we'll be happy to assist you.

If you're running late for your reservation, please call us on 020 7734 7276 and let us know however please note that we have a strict 15 minutes booking hold time, after which we will give the table away.

To change your booking, please respond to the confirmation e-mail you have received or call us on 020 7734 7276 at least 24 hours in advance. Any changes are subject to availability.
For any cancellations we do require 24 hours’ notice in writing from the booking date and. Please note that if you do cancel after this time or do not show up for your booking, your card will be charged a £10 per head cancellation fee. If you request to cancel your booking because one (but not limited to) of the following reasons: 1/ guest or guests issues linked to Covid-19, unless there is a local/national lockdown, 2/ transport strikes, local or national, Opium’s Terms & Conditions continue to apply in their entirety.

Unfortunately we do not take/accept bookings for the same day after 5pm however, walk-ins are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability.

Walk-ins are welcome (subject to availability). We do however recommend making a reservation to guarantee a table, especially during busy days and peak hours.

The nearest tube stations to our location are Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road, both of which are within walking distance.

You can find directions to our venue on our website, at the bottom of your confirmation e-mail or by using a mapping app on your smartphone. Our address is 15-16 Gerrard Street, London, W1D 6JE. Look out for Jade coloured door positioned between Lotus Garden and Dumplings’ Legends.

Our venue operates a strict over 18 policy and we are unable to allow any underage persons in the venue. We require you to bring along physical form of ID as it will be checked before allowing entry and we do work with the CHALLENGE 25 policy.

We accept a valid government-issued photo ID such as Driving license or Provisional driving license, Proof of age cards with a PASS logo, national or EU national identity card, Passport as acceptable forms of identification. Please note that only physical form of ID is acceptable and we are unable to accept photocopies or pictures.

Yes. Our dress code is smart casual. Please, no flip flops, sandals, fancy dress, sports attire, track suits, sports or gym shorts when joining us although, trainers are acceptable.

For the safety and security of all guests and staff, we conduct bag searches upon entry and our security team will confiscate any liquids or food if found as we don’t allow any externally purchased food or drinks to be brought and consumed within our premises.

Unfortunately we don’t sell spirits by bottles and can only sell and serve spirits as shown on the menu (50 ml measures, 25ml measures are available on request).

To ensure the experience is enjoyable for all guests in our parlour, we do not allow party decorations or balloons.

No, smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited on the premises. We maintain a smoke-free environment to ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests. Please be aware that management reserves the right to ask you and your party to leave if not adhering to our no-smoking/vaping policies.

Unfortunately, our venue does not have disability access, such as a lift and our bars located on 2nd and 3rd floor are accessible only via stairs. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

No, we are not a pet-friendly venue. With respect to the comfort and safety of all our guests, only service animals are permitted inside the premises.

Unfortunately, we do not have cloakroom facilities available for storing luggage or bags. We recommend traveling light or making alternative arrangements for storing belongings during your visit

Snacks and dim sums are served in all our bars (including bar seats). We however recommend checking kitchen opening times to avoid disappointment as kitchen has different opening hours to our venue opening hours.

Please inform us of any specific dietary restrictions or allergies when making your reservation, upon arrival and/or placing your order. Kindly note that whilst we can accommodate most of the dietary requirements, we are not able to accommodate guests following gluten free diet and we are not able to provide alternation or substitutions. Please get in touch to check on allergens if you’re not sure about suitability of our food items for you and your guests.

The deadline for last entry varies depending on the day and time of your visit. In general, we allow last entry 1.5 hour before venue closing time. Please check venue closing times to avoid disappointment.

However, we generally recommend placing your last drinks order at least 1 hour before closing time to ensure prompt service and enough time for your enjoyment. There will be an optional 12.5% service charge added to your bill.

We accept cash and all major credit/debit cards, including mobile payments, depending on availability. Please inquire with our staff if you have any specific payment preferences or requirements. If you wish to pay with voucher we do require to be notified upfront (when making a booking) and provided with the voucher number.

Booking is required in order to redeem a voucher. Please book via our website here, and have your unique voucher number ready as it must be added to the Special Requests section on Design My Night when making your booking. Please note that we are only able to redeem vouchers that are within expiry date/period and we are not able to redeem, refund or reinstate vouchers after their expiry date.

Although all care is taken, Opium’s management does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to a guest’s property, including hired equipment, gifts or personal goods left prior, during or after a reservation/events, unless caused by act or omission of Opium.
